MB - To K to 12 and beyond

There’s no doubt that the landmark passage of the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 or the “K to 12 Law” itself is indeed the single most important education reform in the country today.

However, to be able to maximize its gains, education stakeholders believe that passing the law might not be enough. How should the relationship between basic, technical, and higher education be structured to maximize its gains? What other tasks and reforms necessary should be put in place to further improve our education system? What should we aim for beyond 2016?

These are just some of the issues raised by a number of the country’s stakeholders during a forum organized by the Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City recently.
